Hi, I’m Aaron Cuneo.
My primary experience is in the graphic design, publishing and web design industries. I have over 15 years experience and have worked for design studios, advertising agencies and signage manufacturers. In addition to this, I have been a teacher of Graphic Design for TAFE and have freelanced through Aquent, which gave me a variety of experience in many more agencies than listed on my résumé.
In mid 2013 I established Well Creative – Wingham, with two colleagues. During this time we have built the reputation of this agency as being one of the premier design studios on the Mid North Coast. While we have had great success with Well Creative, we have decided that it is time to wind up this business so we can pursue other goals. We do so positively and in an ordered way.
I have excelled in the following areas.
Printing & publishing
I have now designed print publications for over 712,000 visitor guides and magazines. I have also worked in publishing doing assignments for ACP (now the Bauer Media Group) working on publications such as Real Living and Australian House and Garden. I have a thorough knowledge of the print industry and regularly do press checks for large publication runs of up to 100,000 copies. My responsibility is to ensure excellent print quality that matches the clients expectations. I have expert experience in the use of all of the major applications of Adobe Creative Cloud, having been a teacher of this at TAFE Sydney Institute. I work extremely fast as I am organised, use key commands and style sheets.
Photography, retouching and photo composite creation
Photography is a core part of my skill set. I have photographed and directed many photo shoots in my career. This includes both studio and location shoots, landscape, models and products. The clients have been varied from the tourism organisations mentioned below, local business and even larger corporate clients such as Nikon.
Specialising in logo and brand design. I have created, art directed, refreshed and rolled out many brands. These include brands for Great Lakes Tourism, Manning Valley Tourism, MidCoast Water and MidCoast Council. I have also designed brands for many small to medium business’ and organisations. The success of these brands is in part due to my well rounded approach which creates brands that are simple, timeless, versatile and consumer focused.
I have an up-to-the-minute knowledge of web design and development. This includes a well rounded approach to mobile responsive websites, SEO (Search engine optimisation), designing for a CMS (content management system) UX design and E-commerce design. I am also responsible for content creation which includes copy writing and photography. I work in conjunction with a WordPress developer to code the end site.
I have worked with over 30 destination/tourism brands. This includes all of the destinations between Sydney and Brisbane and areas beyond our region such as Temora. My track record shows I am experienced in creating and rolling out effective marketing strategies for many brands. This includes print collateral, billboard advertising, social media campaigns, electronic direct marketing and website content creation and management.
I have designed and been involved in the manufacture of all types of signage. From signs for cars and shops to wayfinding signage and detailed signage specifications for international hotels, hospitals and Local Government. I have worked for Corlette, an agency specialising in signage, wayfinding and environmental design. Their clients included many international luxury hotel brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, St Regis, Westin, Jumeria, W and Sheraton. I worked personally on projects based in Singapore, Mumbai, Dubai, Maldives, Guangzhou and Beijing.
